'TINDERELLA'

In 2012, amidst the digital revolution, Tinder was born, the first of many dating applications that would change the way we meet people. It was during these early days of Tinder that I created 'Tinderella'.  Over a two-month period, I went on a total of 17 first dates – 11 of which allowed me to take their portrait at the conclusion of our date. The resulting body of work is a collection of black and white portraits that document my experience with Tinder. It is my hope that people will look beyond the voyeuristic appeal and see the project as a social commentary on modern dating and the impact of technology on our relationships.
